What is the booking link and how to use it

When you're getting calls or emails from your customers asking to reserve rental equipment in advance, you can use the booking link. It allows you to send a unique booking link to your customers either via SMS or email. Via the link, your customer can fill in the necessary information and accept the rental terms and conditions before she arrives at your store. It is much faster to serve customers over the phone or email using the rental link as it allows you to spend your time more efficiently than talking on the phone or writing emails all day long.

Sending booking links

Sending booking links is a pretty similar process as making reservations manually.

  1. You can send booking links from the Create booking page. Make sure you have selected Reserve, select the products and rental duration as making a normal reservation. Then, instead of saving the booking, click Send link to booking.

  2. Fill in the necessary information of your customer, choose the language and leave any additional greetings to your customer. Currently, we only offer a pay in-store on pickup option with the rental links.
  3. Once the link is sent, the rental will appear on the Bookings page. If the customer fills in the rental information and accepts the terms and conditions, the status of the rental changes to Confirmed. Otherwise, it says Pending.

How the rental link looks from your customer's perspective

First, your customer receives either an email or SMS with the booking link.

Once your customer clicks the link, she'll enter the booking flow where she's asked to fill in the missing information and confirm her booking. Your customer can use any device to go through the flow and finish the booking.
