Overview to the individual booking page

What can you do on the individual booking page

You can update information associated with a booking from the Bookings page of Rentle.

  1. From your Rentle admin, go to Bookings

  2. Click the booking that you want to update.

Add comment

You can add an internal comment to the order. It will be visible only for the store's employees.

  1. If you want to add a comment for a customer, click the comment icon chat-3-line on the customer's card on the booking view.

    If you want to add a comment to the booking, click the comment icon chat-3-line on the sidebar on the booking view.
  2. Write a note.
  3. Click Save.

Send booking confirmation

You can re-send a booking confirmation to your customer to communicate, for example, made changes. 

  1. Click the envelope icon mail-line on the sidebar on the booking view.
  2. Check the email address.
  3. Click Send.

Add or delete products

If you want to delete a product:

  1. Click a product you want to delete on a customer's card on the booking screen.

  2. Click Delete.
Note! You can't delete a product if it is the only product selected for the customer. You need either delete a customer or add a new product first.

If you want to add a product:

  1. Click Add product on a card on the booking screen.

  2. Select products your customer wants to book.
  3. Click Update order.

If you want to add a product using a bar code reader:

  1. Remember to first select the card of the customer you want to add a product to. Scan a barcode of a product you want to add on the booking screen. 

  2. If the product doesn't belong to the set, continue with the next step
    If the product belongs to the set, select if you want to add a single product or a set to the customer.
  3. Click Add product.

Availability

A product's availability always depends on the booking period, meaning that the booking duration, start time, and end time are affecting the availability.

We use color-coding to communicate the availability.

When the product is available, Rentle shows a green indicator, and how many items you have in the inventory.

When the availability is low, Rentle shows a yellow indicator, and how many items you have in the inventory.

There are four bikes available.

When there are no products available or if you have selected all the available products, Rentle shows a red indicator and zero.

If you have selected more than the number of the available products, Rentle shows a red indicator and striped background.

Add or delete customer

If you want to add a customer:

  1. Click plus icon on the top right corner of the booking view.

  2. Select products your customer wants to book.
  3. Click Continue.

  4. Provide customer details.
  5. Click Update order.

 

If you want to delete a customer:

  1. Click the more iconmore-2-fill next to the customer's name on a card on the booking screen.

  2. Select Delete from the drop-down.
  3. Confirm action.

Note! You can't delete a participant if he/she is the only participant. You can cancel the booking instead.

Edit customer's details

If you want to edit contact details that applied to the booking:

  1. Click arrow-down-s-line next to the customer's name on a sidebar on the booking screen.

  2. Click Edit details.
  3. Make any required changes.

  4. After you're done, click Update.

If you want to edit a single customer's information:

  1. Click the more iconmore-2-fill next to the customer's name on a card on the booking screen.

  2. Select Edit from the drop-down.
  3. Make any required changes.

  4. After you're done, click Save.

Edit start, end time, or order's duration

If you want to edit the start time of the booking:

  1. Click Start time on a sidebar on the booking screen.

  2. Select a new date and time on a calendar.
  3. Click Save.

Note! Changing the start time takes into account duration and, thus, affects the end time of the booking.

E.g. If the booking duration is 1 day(24 hours), and it starts on Thu. Jul 15, 10:00, the booking ends on Fri. Jul 16, 10:00. If you change the start time to be Thu. Jul 15, 12:00, the end time will be updated according to the duration and become, respectively, Fri. Jul 16, 12:00.

Changing the end time doesn't take into account duration and, thus, doesn't affect the start time.

There is no possibility to edit an end time for the whole booking at once since different participants might have different durations. In order to edit the end time, you need to edit the end time for every customer.

  1. Click the more icon more-2-fill next to the customer's name on a card on the booking screen.

  2. Select Edit from the drop-down.
  3. Select End time.

  4. Select a new date and time on a calendar.
  5. After you're done, click Save.

There is no possibility to edit the duration for the whole booking at once. You need to edit the duration for every customer separately.

  1. Click the more icon more-2-fill next to the customer's name on a card on the booking screen.

  2. Select Edit from the drop-down.
  3. Select Duration.

  4. Select a new duration.
  5. After you're done, click Save.

While Rentle is designed to help you prevent overbooking, if you're an admin user, or you have the permission, you can overbook or book outside the store's opening hours for any products. However, we always notify you, if you try to reserve more than you have available.
