How to let your customers extend their booking independently
When your customers want to extend their booking to end later than planned, Rentle makes it convenient. With booking extensions your customers can independently extend their booking on the go with only a few clicks. Payments and availability checks are handled automatically so there's no extra labor for you.
Note: The booking extension link will only be sent when the order is paid online and your store is using Rentle Payments.
The Booking Extension Block will be supported soon supported with third party payment providers.

How to enable booking extensions
You can enable an extension for a product when defining pricing for it.
- Install the booking extension block from your Rentle Block Store.
- In your Rentle Admin, go to Products > Select the product you want to enable extensions for > Pricing tab.
- Scroll down to the Extensions card.
- Toggle on Enable extensions for this product.
- Define a price per hour and/or per day (24h).
How do booking extensions work
Rentle's booking extension feature is an easy way for your customers to extend their booking with their mobile device. Rentle gives the option to extend based on availability, so you don't need to worry about conflicting bookings.
Rentle checks stock availability for upcoming bookings before allowing the extension and handles the payment automatically when the extension is confirmed.
When your customers book products that have extensions enabled, they will receive both a text message and an email with an extension link.
The customer can see the current booking details via the link: booking start and end time and locations. If the product is available, customers can also extend their booking by selecting an extra hour or day and paying for the extra duration.
Once the booking has been extended, Rentle will show the updated duration and the total price in Rentle Admin Bookings > Active > Single booking.
